Diana, whom Donna had been thinking about, was having no easy time either. She and Batwoman were practically surrounded by hundreds of Black Lantern Zombies.
Those eyes glowing with Black Light overflowed with hunger and hatred. Simply being stared at by these former Heroes sent chills down her spine, and she instinctively raised her sword and shield.
"They seem to hate us?"
She asked Batwoman beside her. The Possessor of the Black Lantern Ring—Owlman—had vanished somewhere after activating the ring.
"That is normal. No dead person wishes to be awakened in this manner." Batwoman still wore a poker face as she stood behind Wonder Woman, staring down the Zombies. "Many of them were killed by the Injustice League of Earth -3. Owlman collected their bodies and secretly built them a cemetery here."
Diana drew a deep breath, flexing her fingers around the hilt of her sword. "Owlman was also a member of the Injustice League."
"Yes, he was one of the killers as well." Batwoman gave an affirmative answer, then pulled out a Bat-Tablet to compare the revived corpses against the roster. "But under the Black Lantern's control, even if they retain their minds and look at us with hateful eyes, they cannot turn that hatred into action."
Checking the roster again was necessary. Some of these people's abilities could be useful, while others were complete dead weight. If any corpse had been revived by mistake, then she had better send it back to its coffin.
Owlman's backup plan, called the Hall of Heroes, had been secretly underway for more than a decade. It was essentially a collection of Superhumans' corpses, to be revived by Black Lanterns at critical moments and used to bolster his fighting strength.
