Superboy-Prime and Earth-0 Superman looked almost identical. Aside from Superboy-Prime's shoulder-length hair and slightly younger appearance, anyone unfamiliar with them would have been unable to tell them apart.
The Upside-Down Man might have recognized Little Superman, who had been imprisoned all along, or it might not have. But the moment it saw this Superman make a move, it should have known he was not someone to be trifled with.
And it did react. While reviving its four subordinates from within its body once more, it also opened its huge mouth. Like the mouth of some serpent, it instantly expanded until it was larger than a train tunnel, blasting out a purple beam of light.
Black currents of electricity coiled around the beam, like the chill that always surrounded a popsicle, proving its nature.
If any of the more common Supermen took that hit, they would at least be seriously injured. Without Magic Resistance, dodging was the only option against this kind of attack. And if the enemy's magic could track them and turn corners like Darkseid's Omega Beams, that would be especially troublesome.
But none of that existed for Superboy-Prime. To solve a magic problem, he only needed one punch.
Facing the oncoming beam, he neither dodged nor evaded. With a low shout, he raised one fist over his head and smashed directly through the light in a standard "Superman flying" pose.
He truly smashed it apart. Though it was intangible magical energy, his punch shattered it like a fluorescent tube.
Little Superman did not slow down. Flying faster than light through the beam, he reached the Upside-Down Man and sent even that supposedly formless conceptual enemy flying.
In the silver-gray It-Realm, the Upside-Down Man's own It-Realm, he had injured its master.
That was simply what Superboy-Prime could do. He
