"You said that Dark Matter was born from the universe's fear, along with the things we regretted. What I've always feared was being unable to protect the people around me from all the messed-up things I knew."

Wally looked out at the distant stars, then patted the large tree beside him. Beneath it lay the remnants of the picnic he had shared with his children.

"This is the Dark Multiverse. From the moment they were born, those worlds were filled with the World Forger's regrets." The Time God swept the Cloak behind him and summoned the Mobius Chair from the Moon of the past. "They were not perfect worlds. Though I do not understand why their creator believed so, there is no doubt that after creating them, he would shake his head in regret and cast them aside here."

"Maybe it was fear. The World Forger feared Perpetua, and now the Multiverse of regret he created out of fear has become her chance to escape." Wally looked at the chair floating silently there. "Cause and effect always seem to become a closed loop somewhere unseen, just like how the Speed Force Plane is actually a hollow sphere."

"Perhaps. I have brought you the Mobius Chair. Are you still certain you want to do this?"

There was little expression on the Time God's metallic-looking face, but his tone was deeply concerned.

"This was your original plan, wasn't it?" Wally smiled and turned to look at the giant. "You already knew what I would choose. If my sacrifice could save the Multiverse, you knew I would not hesitate. I was guilty to begin with—I killed my friend. Trading my life for the survival of the universe is a bargain."

Tempus remained as calm as ever, though there was a trace of apology
