"Peter? Isn't he in the hospital?"

Thor blinked, looking a little adorably blank beneath her half-covered helmet.

"He meant another Peter. Now I know why that brat stood me up today. Turns out he came here to get a room with his imaginary girlfriends." Deadpool had appeared in the doorway at some point. Leaning against the frame with his arms crossed, he struck a pose with two fingers propping up his forehead. Was that a fish clenched in his mouth?

It made his voice sound terribly muffled, like a duck's.

"Where did you get grilled fish?" Daisy's attention was instantly diverted. She did not even ask when Wade's legs had healed.

"Didn't Cousin kick me flying? I happened to land among a group of people camping in the woods nearby. They were grilling fish around a bonfire while telling ghost stories." Deadpool lifted the lower half of his mask, took a bite of fish, and chewed. "I just wanted to ask them for directions, but they all screamed and ran deeper into the woods."

Daisy sighed and turned away from the disgusting sight of Deadpool eating. "Seeing 'half a person' fall from the sky at night and then ask for directions... anyone normal would run, wouldn't they?"

Deadpool opened his mouth, held the fish by its tail, and shoved the entire thing down his throat. He closed his mouth and pulled it out, extracting the intact fish skeleton covered in blood. His cheeks bulged like a squirrel's as he said indistinctly:

"How about I call Peter and ask where he hid the alien?"

"There's no need." Su Ming walked between them, then turned and waited for them. "Close the door and follow me. As long as Strangle follows Peter's scent in the water trails, it can tell where he went."
