Sif and Frigga had one thing in common: whenever they heard that something involved Thor, they basically stopped thinking at once.

Although Thor was not Frigga's biological son, Hera treated all of Odin's sons equally. No matter who got into trouble, she would fret herself into a panic, showing none of her usual composure and gentleness. She was no different from an ordinary mother.

As for Sif, she was simply hopelessly in love with Thor. She never opposed anything he said; anything he wanted, she would help him achieve. It was rather pitifully humble.

Unfortunately, Thor had no feelings for her in that sense. They had grown up together and were too familiar with each other to feel that spark.

"Warrior bearing the skinned tree trunk, then please escort us out of here quickly." Hera urgently appealed to the unfamiliar warrior, though the doubt in her eyes flashed away in an instant. "You look unfamiliar. May I ask your family name?"

The tall, muscular warrior looked as though he had suddenly understood. He patted his chest with an honest grin and loudly introduced himself:

"People call me 'Greatwood' Daksu! Hera, please come this way!"

Following the warrior's footsteps, Frigga looked back toward Thor from afar. On the golden city walls, the small position where he stood was like a boat in a tsunami, swallowed by the waves one moment and surfacing again the next.

The enemy was that vast sea, while her two sons were like lone boats.

Hera left the Shield-maidens behind to hold the line. She and Sif retreated from the chaotic battlefield together. The noise around them was deafening, forcing them to shout even to speak, while all manner of threats kept raining down from the sky without pause.
