"Those are really the reasons you ran away from home?"
In Justice League Dark's underground headquarters, Zatanna held her herbal tea and stared blankly at the sisters Diana and Donna.
She had tossed her little blue trench coat onto the other end of the sofa, while her top hat sat on her lap as a small table.
"I don't know how you witches usually live, but I can't stand being without the Internet." Donna looked around the place. What she liked was not the Internet itself, but how it let her keep in touch with her friends.
The doors to the underground vault nearby had barely been repaired, but cracks from the previous battle still marked the walls.
"I didn't leave because of the Internet, you know that." Diana sent Donna off to browse the web, then sat beside Zatanna herself and sighed softly. "You've seen my mother's routine before, right? Saying that as the God of War, I have to take responsibility for the Pantheon and all that. She's also very unhappy about Slade and me."
The witch took a sip of herbal tea and frowned at the bitterness, but the last trip to the Rot Country had left behind some aftereffects. She needed this to treat the trauma to her mind.
Hearing her friend, she looked utterly baffled, both eyebrows nearly climbing onto her forehead. "Even though Hera, that venomous woman, might have been the one behind her petrification?"
"Even if that's true." Diana leaned back on the sofa, rolling her shoulders as she propped her legs on the coffee table. "She still thinks thunder and rain are both arrangements made by the gods. Now that she has been revived from petrification, she thinks Hera pardoned her. She's even more grateful to that woman now."
