Before the two of them had even landed, Harley was the first to complain. Pointing at the ape beside her, she shouted:
"Guys, I found out our ape is a psycho too. After Black Alice caught Martian Manhunter with magic, I did what Little Bee said and burned him. But this psycho ape kept jumping around and screaming beside me, telling me to burn J'onn's eggs. I did, and he still wouldn't stop yelling. Now I suspect he has schizophrenia and a twisted obsession with cruel violence."
Su Ming and Diana both turned to look at Bobo. Even Dawn, who had been watching from the sidelines, gave him a strange look. The chimpanzee, however, looked utterly dead inside.
"I said to burn his eyes, E-Y-E-S, not his ass! And not eggs! I corrected your pronunciation so many times, but besides laughing, you insisted on burning the front of his butt. What was I supposed to do?!"
The helpless ape waved his arms around, pointing at his eyes one moment before turning around and slapping his own rear the next.
Harley said nothing. She simply turned her head and whistled at the sky.
Why did that Black Lantern Martian have to face everyone? If he had turned around early and stuck his butt out, none of this would have happened.
That was just how she was. The more someone resisted, the more excited she got.
Watching J'onn still screaming amid the flames, Su Ming sighed. Martian Manhunter truly had many impressive abilities, but he also had far too many weaknesses. He simply could not measure up. In one universe, Batman had even taken J'onn down by slipping Bat-sedative into chocolate cookies.
Combat in a vacuum was probably better. There was no way to start a fire there.
