Joker had originally been quite satisfied with this "House-Piercing Roller Coaster." Once people got on, they were trapped in their assigned seats, completely unable to control themselves. They could only rise and fall along the predetermined track, facing sudden death at any moment, yet forced to put on a smile before the strong.
Wasn't that just like real life?
It was an amusement ride full of metaphors. Joker had hoped Batman would share a knowing smile when he saw it. That would have been enough.
But now, he could tell from the Plumber's eyes that the man had understood every metaphor, only to dismiss them with contempt. That was not the smile he wanted.
So his hand reached for the remote.
He was not planning to kill the Plumber for offering criticism. He was planning to use laughing gas to kill everyone on the roller coaster. If there was nothing wrong with the ride itself, then there had to be something wrong with the people taking part in the show.
"Don't be so eager to kill people, Mr. Jack." The Plumber took the opportunity to sling an arm around Joker's shoulders and gave him a friendly pat. "Your overall design concept is fine, actually. Using a roller coaster to imitate life is great. There's just one fundamental logical error that makes the whole story feel divorced from reality."
The last ray of sunset vanished beyond the horizon, and colorful lights throughout the carnival switched on at once. Business continued as usual at night.
The lights washed Joker's face red, then green. He licked his lips rapidly like a snake and let out a hissing laugh.
"Oh? What error? Tell me quickly, and I'll give you candy. Hehehehe."
"Your candy has razor blades in it, so I'll pass. The logical error
