When he reached Cousin via the Teleportation Belt, the scene was a complete mess. Floating in space, Deadpool immediately felt a wave of suffocation and hurriedly pulled a fishbowl from his pants pocket and put it over his head.
With a pop, the round fishbowl allowed him to breathe in space. Perfectly reasonable.
In the distance lay the wreckage of the Galactus Engine, still spewing flames and chunks of flesh. Nearby, a blue-gray-skinned woman in a red one-piece swimsuit was desperately chasing Lord Mar-Vell. The familiar Captain Marvel, Carol, seemed somewhat like an outsider. She wanted to intervene but could not find the right opening.
"You killed him! I'll kill you!"
"Two bloody tears were even running down that woman's face. She was clearly heartbroken." Deadpool scratched his butt, turned sideways in midair, and floated there watching the show. He muttered to himself, "Say, can someone explain what's going on? Why do I feel like I missed a whole bunch of scenes?"
"Stop talking to yourself and come with me." The invisible Deathstroke beside him suddenly spoke. His voice rode the vibrations of Cosmic Energy into Deadpool's ears, shaking loose a huge clump of earwax.
"Slade? Where are you? I can't see you!" Deadpool sat up and turned his head this way and that, searching all around for the source of the voice.
"You don't need to ask where we are. Tell me first, what happened to Vision and Ultron's heads?" Su Ming and the others were actually floating above Deadpool's head, wrapped inside the Cloak of Levitation and kept invisible.
