Urgent, irregular knocking came from the door.

"At eight at night, it probably isn't the landlord." Head aching from the noise, Daisy tossed aside the mop and went to answer it. She crooked her mouth at the women on the sofa. "So it's probably Sophie. She must be here to brag about how enjoyable her X life is."

When the door opened, there was not only Sophie, the fat woman in pink pajamas, but also Oleg, wearing nothing but a pair of T-back shorts. He was even shirtless, with a chef's hat on his head.

Yet neither of them looked happy. Their faces were instead filled with terror. Sophie's heavy makeup had been smeared by sweat, making her look like a ghost.

The two slipped inside. Sophie first struck a pose, then began pacing around and shouting, pulling a handkerchief from her pajama pocket and waving it wildly.

"Close the door! My Polish God, there's a monster! Daisy, you have to help us!"

"Oh." Daisy narrowed her eyes, returned to the sofa, and picked up her beer.

"You mean zombies? Sophie, it's just a movie." Caroline handed the fat woman some popcorn, letting her have something sweet to calm down. "Those monsters don't exist in real life. And besides, they shouldn't be in your home."
