"They can serve as doorways for multiversal travel, connecting to the Spider Web under my control. These are safe passages. I'll use Boom Tubes to send you into unknown Parallel Universes. All you need to do is plant a Spider Totem somewhere safe as soon as you arrive, then find out whether there are zombies in that world. If there are, retreat through the Spider Web. I'll collide that world with another one occupied by zombies and eliminate the threat once and for all."
"I have a question, Slade. We're talking about Parallel Universes here, not little steel balls in a pinball machine. How are you supposed to make them collide?"
Howard the Duck waddled over, wrapped his arms around the Mercenary's thigh, and said in an exhausted voice:
"We all know that if you're strong enough, pushing the moon into Earth wouldn't be a problem. But a Single Universe is just a concept. It has no form, no substance, and no handle to grab."
Still too shallow. Howard the Duck's horizons were still too shallow. He was only thinking in terms of planets crashing into planets. Wasn't that something anyone with hands could do?
Over next door, every Earthling knew Superman could push Earth around, and they even knew he could make a Bat-Moon to profess his love to Batwoman!
