Bald Tony had thousands of safehouses around the world. Only Heavenly Reed and his robots likely knew where he was at any given time. The other Avengers members could never find him; he was always the one to seek them out.
Like Batwoman, this bald Iron Man cared deeply about his human identity. He refused any mutation, because in his view, gaining superpowers meant no longer being an ordinary person, and then he would no longer be able to truly see problems from a civilian's perspective.
That was why all his safehouses were hermetically sealed. The air he breathed, the food he ate, the water he drank, the tools he used, and the clothes he wore all went through hundreds of strict inspection, sterilization, and disinfection procedures, all to prevent him from being stimulated by something and mutating.
If he could avoid going out, he did. He could command the superhero forces remotely just as well from an underground bunker, and with his loyal old butler handling all the trivial matters, he could devote himself wholeheartedly to protecting Earth and humanity.
The scenery outside the car window was quite interesting. With all sorts of Mutants around, it felt as though they were driving through a circus—except this was a circus where tigers and lions could talk.
In other worlds, it was hard to see Equinoids and Tiger-Headed Humanoids dating, Yuan-ti and birdmen linking up their PSPs in a roadside park, or Pig-Headed Humanoids selling sausages to Dog-Headed Humanoids.
But here, those were merely a microcosm of everyday life.
"It feels like I'm watching Zootopia." Jessica, squeezed into a corner of the back seat, said this as she watched the streets outside with great interest. After all, who didn't like fluffy animal people?
She liked Rabbit Mutants. A woman's body with
