A few minutes later, Black Orchid came to a stop. By then, everyone was surrounded by a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood.
This was a fairly spacious underground hall, perhaps normally used for gatherings or rituals. Its walls and floor were entirely metal, and even the ceiling lights were noticeably brighter.
But the floor could no longer be seen. Looking down, they could only see the thick liquid submerging their feet—blood and bodily fluids from the last batch of resistors.
The wreckage of Mutants and robots lay mingled together like warped reefs rising from a crimson sea. There was no wind underground, or they might truly have witnessed the lovely sight of waves rolling across a sea of blood.
By this point, only Su Ming, Cindy, Harley, and Ivy could still face it with smiles. Everyone else—even White Canary, whose soul was filled with bloodlust after bathing in the Lazarus Pit—seemed a little nauseated.
The Legends had killed who knew how many people along the way. Only now did they realize that Harley had slipped into their team to use her madness to lure everyone into competing with her, pushing each of them beyond their limits and unconsciously turning a cheerful atmosphere into a massacre.
Captain Cold and Heat Wave exchanged a look and gave bitter smiles. Sara held her girlfriend and softly comforted her. Firestorm and Steel lowered their heads as though observing a moment of silence for the dead, because they had charged the fastest and competed the hardest earlier.
But the people were already dead. What else could they do?
Accept reality, express some regret, then probably dare to do it again next time.
Alba did not look so good either. Beans were the Mutants' staple food, and
