If Brutus had spoken properly from the start, choosing to come and ask for help instead of invading, the Justice League might actually have accepted him and these Doomsday natives. At the very least, they could have found them somewhere to live in the Dark Multiverse.
Unfortunately, this horned fellow had chosen the wrong path. Though that was good news for Su Ming. People who hid malice behind smiling faces were much harder to deal with; a direct clash was far more satisfying.

Time seemed to slow around them. Their speed was so great that the surroundings appeared motionless, while the sea of blood on the ground exploded into the air under the shockwaves from their kicks.
Scarlet droplets hung in the air like pearls. Golden Light trailed from the greatsword, slicing many of the blood beads neatly in two and making them gleam with an eerie sheen beneath the lights.
