Diana had practically fled Paradise Island, bringing her sister Donna with her. As the two sat at the dining table, both wore deeply troubled expressions.
"Looks like you didn't have a very good evening." Su Ming patted Diana's lower back, gesturing for her to try the alien fish as well. The strange creature looked like a hippopotamus but tasted like chicken.
The woman rubbed her face and sighed, picking up the knife and fork before her. "It was more than bad. It was awful. Mother and I argued the entire time."
"Over the signal base station?" Barry had already finished eating, leaving a mess of dishes and cups in front of him as he wiped his mouth.
"Over anything, really. Or everything." Donna looked equally overwhelmed and distressed. "As I understand it, The Queen wanted my sister to leave Earth-0 with Slade and lie low for a while. But you all know my sister's personality. She refused."
"Enough, Donna. Don't say any more." Diana shook her head, cutting off her sister. She sliced off a piece of the piglet-like fish and placed it on her plate. "Of course I know Mother means well, but I'm a warrior. I won't abandon you, her, and everyone else to run away. So I'm not going anywhere. The more tense things become, the less I can leave."
"So the signal base station was just something to vent anger over, not the cause of the argument?" Oliver was gnawing on a fish bone, his hands covered in grease. "I may be an outsider, but I think you and your mother could both take a step back."
"You tell me?" Wonder Woman raised her eyes.
Green Arrow shrugged, wrapping an arm around Black Canary beside him. The Mustache twitched as he launched into an animated explanation.
