The giant bear fell flat on its back, its rotting body unable to get up for the moment. Magik's combat experience had been honed through endless battles in Limbo, so she would never give it the chance to rise and regain its footing.
Using human joint locks in her demon form, she snapped Kill-Enemy's limb joints clean off with several sharp cracks.
They had assumed that this giant bear had lost its memories and ability to move, that its bodily functions had severely deteriorated, leaving it with no room to resist.
But the injuries from battle seemed to activate another of its programs, sending it into some strange mode.
A powerful light began to radiate from inside Kill-Enemy's body, turning the entire bear into something like a lantern. Red light spilled across the ground, and the surrounding trash drifted skyward as though it had lost all gravity.
Several beams shot from its eyes and mouth, and the light even helped it turn over. With all four limbs broken, the giant bear floated into the air. Like a bear hide strapped to a drone, it spread its limbs wide as it spiraled upward at incredible speed.
"What kind of design is that?"
A trace of speechlessness crossed Magik's demon face. The bear's ability to manipulate gravity was undeniably powerful, but its way of using it was ridiculously lame.
"Don't dwell on that. This bear is the weakest of the Twelve Guardian Gods. Its current strength is probably less than one percent of what it was before the disaster, and it's stupid besides." As Su Ming answered Magik, he flicked his Lightsaber out from his palm. "Use magic to counter the gravity and bring it down."
Because in the brief time they had been talking, the bear had floated higher and higher,
