"Don't be in such a hurry, don't be in such a hurry, sss, Deathstroke." Namor, possessed by the Serpent God, tilted his head and spoke with his tongue flicking rapidly. "Our game has only just begun. You'll see. I'll make you regret ever offending me."

After speaking, a strange expression appeared on Namor's face. He looked as though he were in great pain, yet also as though he were laughing wildly.

His head began spinning frantically like one of those bobblehead ornaments in a car, while his limbs twisted irregularly as if he had no bones.

Then his flesh began to swell. Lumps bulged beneath his skin, as though living creatures were racing through his body, and the hissing from his mouth turned into maniacal laughter.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Power, power is surging into me! Thank you, my god! I—"

"Bang!"

But before Namor could finish speaking, he exploded on the spot. Flesh and blood sprayed in every direction like a storm, while countless snakes poured from his remains like water erupting from a fountain.

They coiled atop Namor's mangled corpse, slithering with a greasy, gloomy gleam. Yet in the blink of an eye, all that remained of the body was the skeleton of its legs, starkly pale beneath the darkened sky.

The snakes scattered. They slithered over to devour the circlets on every corpse, then crawled onto the lumps of minced flesh floating on the water. Their evil vertical pupils stared at Deathstroke and the others before they dissolved one by one into pus, drifting away across the sea and vanishing.

Even the double-headed serpent trident twisted briefly before turning into a fading shimmer, as if it had shifted from a material form into some kind of energy.
