Tony had been drinking a few days ago. He drank almost every day and got roaring drunk every few days.
Because he had money, and rich people never lacked drinking companions.
But being drunk had not made him set all those suits of armor off like fireworks. In fact, they were still safely stored in the Stark Industries Building and Tony's villa at No. 1 Malibu Beach in Hollywood.
The reason Jarvis said that was because the one answering Tony had actually been Adjutant.
Yes, Jarvis was excellent, but compared to a Cybertronian Autobot like Adjutant, it was still far inferior. Not to mention that Adjutant had later undergone all sorts of technological and Mystic Side modifications from Another World. She could now practically be called an entirely different species.
In short, she intercepted Tony's communications and started talking to him herself. Given that he had blacked out from drinking that day, wasn't it simply whatever she said went?
Tony suspected many people, but he would never suspect Jarvis. He had tremendous confidence in his own technology and believed Jarvis could not make mistakes.
And that was one of his weaknesses.
For now, Adjutant would just fool Tony. Next, she would hack Jarvis, alter the AI butler's various records, fabricate surveillance footage and news reports from that day, then send people into Tony's home and company by teleportation to move all the armor away. That way, nothing would be exposed afterward.
"There's no need to take Tony's armor. The old models are electronic junk, and I have no use for them. Moving them in and out would be inconvenient too. Just teleport a few ordinary spiders inside, have them use Pym Particles to shrink the armor down to molecular size, and make sure Tony can't see it."
