"Ying."
As Strangle ate Set's brain, it chatted casually with its host.
Su Ming had just been thinking about something. Was the path taken by Dormammu and Cyttorak actually the right one?
Abandoning the physical body meant abandoning a great many weaknesses as well. Today, Set had fallen because of the fragility within his own body.
His flesh-and-blood body had given him a powerful appetite, and the Devouring Method he invented had made him strong. Yet in the end, devouring was also what killed him. It all felt like an overdue price, merely paid through Deathstroke's hands, like some sort of retribution.
Strangle said there was no need for its host to dwell on how the enemy had died. There was nothing wrong with a flesh-and-blood body; Set's mistake was that he had no symbiote and had not evolved any internal defensive measures.
He existed in a flesh-and-blood form, yet he did not value that body. The prey he devoured was all converted into energy to sustain the operation of the Serpent Crown system across the multiverse, rather than being used to strengthen his own flesh.
With Set's regeneration speed? Even Wolverine had him beat. Who was that supposed to impress?
If your own regeneration was not strong enough, then find a helper you could coexist with and complement each other. If he had become a symbiote host too, then should some little thing dare crawl into the host's body, a symbiote's control over the body's internal environment would be enough to teach any "Ant-Man" a lesson.
Whether it was bacteria, virus, or enemies shrunk down to the subatomic level, it was hard to say whether other symbiotes had a solution, but Strangle certainly did.
It was just that its host had never had an enemy invade his body before.
