About two hundred meters off to the side, a small humanoid shadow was slowly crawling out of the swamp. Aquatic vines and roots were tangled around its body, but there was even more foul-smelling sludge and animal carcasses.
At first glance, it looked like a filthy Slime Monster. The last time Su Ming had seen something like that was Man-Thing and Swamp Thing.
But Kuqua was still a god, after all. Although being awakened by lightning certainly could not have felt good, he still remembered to shake his body while dodging the bolts, flinging away the filth and revealing his true form.
Honestly, his true form was worse than when his face had been covered in filth. His head resembled a rabbit's, but his eyes bulged like a frog's. Eight spider-like jointed limbs grew from his back, while coarse brown hair covered his body.
And he was naked, displaying both sets of sexual characteristics at once, apparently without the slightest sense of shame.
Even Storm, hovering in the sky, froze for a moment at the sight of that thing. The frequency of her lightning strikes dropped, and she seemed a little nauseated.
"Strange. My bioscan and thermal sensors didn't detect him before." Tony's puzzled voice came from inside his armor as he began running a self-diagnostic. "But it's not a big problem. As long as the weapons systems are fine."
As he spoke, the back of his armor began to shift, extending four energy cannons that swung forward into an X-shaped formation. The missile pods on his shoulders and the Palm Cannons in both hands began charging at the same time.
"Ribbit! Damned Black Panther! Did your master send you here? How laughable. How could a mere mortal dare face mighty me?!"
When Kuqua's name was said quickly, it did
