The moment Su Ming saw the Old God's eyes shift, he knew what he was thinking.
He was admittedly nowhere near as skilled in psychology as Harley. He could not psychologically profile people or predict aberrant behavior in the middle of a fight, but determining whether someone had the will to fight required no profound psychological knowledge.
Seeing First Born trying to slip away, Su Ming did not even need to reach out and stop him. He merely tossed out a casual remark.
"You know, Diana—the one who ran a sword through your chest and nearly killed you back then—is my woman now. She's obedient, and she's quite a treat. So run, weak god. A lone wolf like you wants to become an All-Father like Zeus? Dream on. I'll become the king of Olympus! Your sisters and mother will all be my slaves someday! The whole world will know what a useless piece of trash you are! Baa-hahahaha!"
Deathstroke's voice was so loud that everyone far behind him heard it. Bobo hurriedly leaped onto Shazam's shoulder and covered the boy's ears.
"This isn't something you should hear. Come on, recite the alphabet with me."
To protect Shazam's innocence, Bobo actually made such an unreasonable demand. After all, despite possessing Solomon's wisdom, the grown-up boy ranked dead last in his class on every test. He did not even know how many letters there were in the English alphabet.
Fortunately, Shazam had not understood a word Deathstroke said. It went in one ear and out the other. He merely rolled his eyes at the ape, let the monkey mutter away on his shoulder, and continued looking down at his phone.
Damian merely pursed his lips. He knew this was obviously Deathstroke's tactic, because the facts were not as he had described them.
