To celebrate, she took several big gulps of soda, then slipped on a pair of little white sneakers barefoot and nodded to Deathstroke, indicating that she was ready.

The teleportation activated, and Goddess arrived beside the two of them. Only then did she let out a burp reeking of carbonation.

Hela smiled as well. With a raised hand, black spikes surged from the ground, carrying her down to the bottom of the crater as if she were surfing.

But the moment she drew close, her smile faded, and her slender brows furrowed.

"Death? No, that can't be right. I know several Deaths, and none of them have this kind of energy signature. It's similar, but it definitely isn't her." Su Ming shook his head, signaling for Hela to sense it more carefully.

At first, he had thought it was residual energy from Death as well, but it did not take much scrutiny to determine that it was not.

The tiny trace left behind here—or rather, this "feeling"—seemed more like something left behind by a rigid concept than by some lovesick slut in heat every day.
