In the space still permeated by the smell of smoke and fire, Deathstroke stood quietly at the bottom of the massive crater left by the explosion. He watched Hela's expression shift from relaxed comfort to a twisted grimace.
She seemed to have sensed something. Or perhaps she had had a dream?
But she was neither living nor dead. Decay and vitality coexisted within her. In legend, she was supposed to be a famously sleepless god, like Heimdall, who never closed his eyes.

Carol was growing impatient. She walked around nearby with her cat in her arms, occasionally glancing at the charred ruins and broken walls around them.
As mentioned before, the explosion itself had not been particularly powerful, but the resulting fire had clearly affected the station's interior. Everything around them had turned pitch-black. Only the miners' lamps worn by the Synthezoids cast beams through the darkness, sweeping back and forth like brooms.
