No one could match Barry's speed. Clearing away a mountain of bones took him less than a second.
Other speedsters probably wouldn't have been able to use the Speed Force in the Marvel 40K Universe, but Barry was different. As the source, every step he took generated Speed Force. That was what made him special.
When the four members of the Justice League returned triumphantly from outside the garden, the girls of the Spider-Women Alliance greeted them with enthusiastic applause.
"That was amazing! Just what I'd expect from Deathstroke's friends!" Michelle's trembling hands gave two thumbs-up, pumping back and forth like she was boxing. "I've never seen anyone so fast. Mister in red, you seem even faster than Quicksilver."
"...Mister?"
Without even wondering who Quicksilver was, Barry clutched his chest and staggered. No other Superhero had ever called him that before. Even Damian only ever called him by name or called him The Flash.
Why did these sixteen- or seventeen-year-old girls think he was some old man?
He wasn't even forty yet. Though adding the ten years he'd spent lost in the Speed Force Plane probably made his actual age a little higher, he still looked young.
To prove it, he specifically ran to the bathroom and examined himself in a mirror decorated with gold, silver, and gemstones in Deathstroke's home. Only after confirming that he had neither forehead wrinkles nor hair loss did he wet his hair and smooth it down, tidying himself up before running back.
He was still so fast that the girls hadn't even noticed he had left.
"Your eyes don't look young. All your life experience is right there in them, mister."
Michelle, the Latina girl, spoke as though her voice came with its own electronic distortion. She laughed and spoke rapidly.
"You look like
