Wanda had gone back to 40K to guard the home, Thanos had been handed over to Deadpool, and now only three people and a cat remained in Su Ming's team.

But that should be enough. If they really found something, then whatever had silently killed Superman would probably be no less dangerous with more people around. They would only become a burden instead.

Su Ming patted his Cloak and had it take him to Superman's home first. Maybe they would find some clues there.

The Cloak circled through the ring-shaped sun, then turned into a streak of Black Light. Within seconds, it landed lightly on Superman's balcony.

Or rather, where the balcony had once been. There was now a huge hole there, as though it had been bombarded by a cruise missile.

The balcony had long since vanished, and even the building itself was missing a massive chunk. Two deep furrows ran through the room, extending inward.

"Superman was attacked here. He might have just taken off from the balcony when someone smashed him with something huge." Su Ming floated into the room, crouched down, and touched the floor. He turned his head from side to side before walking toward where the bed had once stood. "The bed has been destroyed, but there's no blood here. That means Lois is fine. We can try to find her later."

"So this Superman guy is your friend?" Carol wandered around the spacious bedroom and poked her head into the attached bathroom. The nearly thirty-square-meter bathroom made her curl her lip. "This is a prosperous city, and this place is practically in the inner city. He owns such a huge apartment—I'm guessing he's rich? You always say you're a mercenary, so was he a major client?"
