The 2077 Timeline had been the chessboard on which Deathstroke faced off against Blank. Now that the problem had been resolved, there was no longer any need for it to exist. Rather than painstakingly recreating its stories, it was better to alter people's memories on Earth.
Even Bobo, who had originally known the most, now only remembered the Angel Statue attacking Superman. In the revised version of events, Deathstroke had never mentioned Blank to anyone, so naturally, they had no way of knowing the related stories.
The story had become much simpler. One night, Superman had been asleep at home when a statue attacked him and dragged him into space.
Deathstroke pursued them into space, saved Superman, blasted apart the Angel Statue, and sent the unconscious Superman—who had accidentally inhaled the Sands of Time—to the Dreaming for emergency treatment.
