Daughter of the Warlock really did have a portrait of Deathstroke. She had asked Laurie for it.
Apparently, that man had helped Black Alice save her father, who had cancer, and after the treatment, he had even given them money and things. Laurie claimed to be deeply grateful, specifically copied someone else's painting ability, painted a portrait of Deathstroke, and carried it with her every day.
Laura, who came from Gotham, might have retired early, but that did not mean she was stupid.
Enchantress did not quite believe that explanation. Gratitude would not make someone go that far. Still, she did not expose her. Instead, she went along with it, saying that she wanted to recognize him too, and had Black Alice paint another one for her.
To her surprise, Laurie was genuinely good at painting. It was practically on par with the works of famous artists in museums. So Laura simply framed the painting and hung it in her secluded home as decoration.
Since she had seen the man, she could use magic to recreate a new painting. It was not difficult at all, and she quickly made one for Silver White as well.
"He does look much younger." Toni nodded repeatedly as she looked at the portrait, though her expression remained somewhat strange. "It's just... whenever I see that yellow-and-black armor, my heart starts pounding."
It was probably some kind of stress response. She was a little allergic to that warning coloration found in nature.
