Watching Enchantress meditate in the café, apparently following his instructions, Batman turned his gaze to Silver White, the girl studying the fully automatic espresso machine.
"You're coming with me. We're making a trip to China."
"Oh, but the coffee..."
Toni, who had wanted to indulge her drink cravings after returning to human society, was clearly reluctant to leave. The coffee beans in this shop were all excellent; it would be a waste not to drink them.
"We'll be back."
As Dark Knight spoke, he opened the café's back door. There was actually a small courtyard behind the shop, containing a miniature air-defense position, with large quantities of nonlethal weapons concealed beneath the floor and inside the walls.
Since he had said so, the silver-haired young woman naturally had no objections. She grabbed Batman's arm and said:
"I can fly, but my Bio-Field isn't as stable as Superman's. Are you sure you can withstand it?"
That was the problem. Silver White could fly at light speed, but she could not take ordinary humans along on high-speed flights—at least, not those with overly ordinary physiques.
"According to the intelligence, K'un-Lun is a hidden realm. My Space Teleportation technology can't enter it, so I can endure it."
Batman remained expressionless as he said this. Clearly, he had prepared for it long ago.
And so the two set off. Silver White was initially somewhat restrained, only gradually accelerating to supersonic speed. When she discovered that Batman seemed completely unaffected, she once again revised her understanding of the phrase "ordinary human."
The distance itself was not particularly great; the two countries were only separated by the Pacific Ocean. Once they reached near-light speed, they arrived at their destination in the blink of an eye.
She did not know where this so-called K'un-Lun was, but the
