In a scenic woodland, a clear stream ran through the trees. Deadpool sat on a large rock beside it, admiring his reflection on the water while chattering away in complaint.
He seemed to be talking to his unmasked reflection, or perhaps to The Nonexistent Audience. His words flew with such force that his spit sent tiny ripples across the water.
"I've only seen that green eagle, and I already lured it over so Vishanti could kill it. What animal will the next one be? Come to think of it, why do all the Origin Judges look like some kind of animal? Was the DC employee who designed them a Native American? Eagle eyes, bear strength, leopard speed... Hiss, what was that cartoon called again? I suddenly can't remember."
That was what brain cancer did. Deadpool knew a great many things, but he forgot things every moment. His brain was like a sieve.
