While Deathstroke and his group dined in the Fifth Dimension,
in a sunlit place, some things were changing.
This place looked like a picturesque grassland, filled with all kinds of small animals, flowers, and plants. It was beautiful—provided one did not look up at the sky, because the thing hanging above was a monster that could only be described as indescribable.
It was a gigantic black tumor of flesh, covered in densely packed tentacles that constantly writhed. From time to time, it made wet, sticky noises, dripped black mucus, and gave off an astonishing stench.
It pulsed like a heart, its booming thump-thump echoing between heaven and earth. The slabs of flesh composing its body trembled faintly, making it look somewhat bloated.
But if that were all, it would merely have been a little Disgusting. The reason it was called indescribable was that it radiated warm white light like the sun, bringing feelings of joy and comfort.
Plants that received its light could grow and bloom; animals that received its light could breed and thrive. That was how this vibrant grassland had come to be.
The sensation stood in stark contrast to its horrifying appearance. The instant humans saw it, they might burn out their brains from being unable to comprehend what kind of existence it was.
At that moment, the enormous black tumor began to tremble. Every strand of black hair on its body stood on end, because the white eye floating before it had just delivered some news.
The eyeball was actually enormous, roughly the size of a football field. Unlike an ordinary human eye, it had no pupil, only a hollow at its center that spewed white light.
