Superman rose from his seat, stretched his limbs, then touched his face. As he worked his jaw, he frowned.

"I just don't know why my face feels a little sore. Is it my imagination?"

Beside him, Diana hid her reddened palm beneath the table, too embarrassed to explain what had happened.

Everyone had originally gathered in the Hall of Justice for a meeting. After being thrown out by her boyfriend and missing quite a few events, she had wanted to bring everyone together and see whether Paradise Island and she herself could help with the reconstruction after God's catastrophe.

Yet just as the meeting had begun, J'onn had only just finished explaining the losses caused by the disaster with charts, and before everyone could speak in turn, the people seated around the table had dropped one after another.

Everyone had gone down except Diana. She had to admit that she had panicked a little at the time.
