It was a pale room. At first glance, it brought The Matrix to mind.
It was clean and tidy. Apart from a large desk placed in the middle of the room, with those televisions stacked on top of it, there was only a bright pillar of light descending from above.
There was no telling where the light came from. All she could see was its cone-shaped outline taking form in the darkness.
"Where is this? Is this lighting effect from some Broadway stage show?"
Although the fake Batwoman was dead, Harley did not mourn it for even a second. She strode toward the pillar of light without worrying that it might be an Aliens' tractor beam meant to suck Earthlings up.
Wasn't that in plenty of movies? Alien saucers used pillars of light to pull people off the ground, and the light before her looked exactly like that.
"This is the Debugging Room." The voice came from above. An echo actually appeared in the tiny room, making it sound rather convincing.
"So this is a space I imagined, and we're still inside my head, right?" Harley still thought the voice was one of the Nightmares. Especially after it had killed the impersonating Batwoman just now, which was likely a form of silencing.
Even if it was not a Nightmare, that was fine. She hated anyone talking down to her from on high. She could just treat them as an enemy.
"You were in your dream just now, but you fought your way out, just as you said. The Nightmares' tricks were no match for you."
The voice sped up a little, its tone carrying a hint of flattery.
"Everyone else is still asleep, while you have already reached a higher level through your dream. If we compare it to a
