The plan for dealing with CAAT was broadly divided into two parts.
One part was the "proactive strike" handled by Deathstroke himself, possibly with Batwoman participating as well. The other was the "homeland defense," for which everyone bore responsibility, though not everyone knew about it.
Cousin was not taking Deadpool along for the first part, and Deadpool himself had no idea how to get involved. So, with a quick turn of his cheap little brain, he joined the second part—the homeland defense plan.
However, unlike the ever-vigilant defensive methods employed by Ancient One and Wanda, he wanted to be more proactive. In other words, he favored so-called active defense.
So he went to find Lucifer. After all, this demon king was the only one who had remotely crossed magical swords with CAAT not long ago.
As for the former Satan's praise for him and Cousin, Deadpool shamelessly accepted it. Things like being cunning and treacherous, despicable and shameless—those were all shining points of humanity in a demon's eyes.
Put simply, the worse a person was, the more demons loved them. Take Constantine, for example. Countless demons loved him so much they could not tear themselves away, all wanting to drag his soul into Hell and keep it for themselves.
"Of course I believe you. Why wouldn't I?" Deadpool sat down beside the bar with the casual familiarity of someone in his own home. He was not worried about ruining anyone's appetite; after all, the two people here were God and Satan. "So I think you're especially lucky. Could you take me along to try our luck again?"
He was not worried in the slightest. In this day and age, the debtor was the boss.
If he died, Lucifer would never get his debt back. There was no way Lucifer would
