Why did Su Ming always say the Queen was naive?
In a medieval world, what was the literacy rate? You could figure out with your heel that it had to be low.
Why were the protagonists of fairy tales always princes or princesses? Wasn't it because commoners couldn't read? Even Cinderella, the most classic example, had never attended school for a single day. She was essentially illiterate.
This royal proclamation had been written by the queen, who sent guards to post it outside the castle gates. Su Ming had no idea what exactly she had been thinking. She hadn't arranged for anyone to read it aloud, either. There were only two spearmen standing guard.
They were obviously illiterate as well. When some curious passerby asked what was written on the proclamation, the two replied that they didn't know either.
"So the Queen wants to find a literate hunter?" Across the street, Deadpool scratched his head. Even with his train of thought, he found the Queen a little abnormal. "She wants the strongest hunter in the country, and there's a written test too?"
"Maybe." Deathstroke answered quietly with a shrug. "She probably wants an assassin well-rounded in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, someone to kill for her. After all, educated people are easier to communicate with, right?"
How did that old saying go? Study so you can speak properly with others, and practice martial arts so others can speak properly with you.
That was more or less what it meant.
"Looks like no one but us is going to take this job." Deadpool turned to look behind him. Not even a single person on the street had come to watch the excitement. Since they couldn't read, they didn't think the royal proclamation had anything to do with their lives.
