"Damn it..."
Kara's leg was pinned beneath a huge chunk of concrete. Enduring the agony, she struggled and wriggled toward the corner. One arm supported her body while the other reached for the pistol tucked against her chest.
Photos and reports from the folder had scattered all over the floor, but she had no time to care about that.
"So it really is a cult? Someone actually attacked a police station to break a prisoner out? This is insane." She panted heavily, a stream of blood running down from her forehead and nearly blurring her vision.
Still, she pulled out her pistol and aimed it at the damaged wall.
Yet through the thick dust, she saw only a glint of red light. A human-shaped figure drifted in like a ghost. Only when it came closer did she see clearly that it was someone clad in yellow-and-black armor, radiating terrifying killing intent.
At that moment, the officers outside the interrogation room clearly noticed the commotion as well. A fully armed tactical unit immediately rushed in through the door, but the intruder seemed to have anticipated it.
The enemy drew two katanas from behind his back. A flash of silver, and the first two riot police charging in were split into four pieces, upper and lower halves severed apart.
Then, using the falling corpses as a foothold, he leaped as though gravity did not apply to him. He dove through the air, spinning repeatedly headfirst while the two large-caliber pistols in his hands fired without pause.
Two seconds later, when he landed and flicked out his magazines to reload, not a single living person remained in the hallway outside.
Every corpse had been shot between the eyebrows, killed instantly.
"Click, click."
The enemy finished reloading and chambering a round in an instant.
