Wish magic was very useful. Sometimes, it could achieve results much like technology. The image of the corpse now looked like a holographic projection, and Damian could even manipulate it with his hands, rotating it to adjust the angle or enlarging certain details.
Millie had never seen the corpse, but her magic could manifest images of things that had existed inside this house. Unfortunately, it was limited to the dead. She could not manifest images of living people—the killers—which was beyond her abilities.
Damian was not disappointed. After all, having a teammate like this was already more convenient than before, wasn't it?
He examined the corpse's abdominal cavity himself, paying no attention to its wide, unseeing eyes. He carefully checked everything, from its fingers to the soles of its feet.
Naturally, he did not overlook the mysterious black runes on the corpse. They looked like some kind of writing.
"The internal organs were removed with a very small knife, not eaten by a monster. They just made the cuts look like bite marks."
Wally waved him off with a look of disgust, signaling Damian not to tell him. He had no suggestions for solving the case. "Man, it's not that I don't want to help, but I really don't know where those organs went."
Damian did not even look at him and continued fiddling with the corpse image. "If you knew, you'd be a suspect."
"Oh, then it's a good thing I don't." Wally was delighted to be cleared of suspicion. He lightly patted his chest, as though putting his heart back where it belonged.
That was right. Even though the team members all had alibis for the time of the crime, Damian still suspected everyone, including himself.
He had undergone the League of Assassins' full training. Taking lives was
