Batwoman had no interest whatsoever in listening to Egghead's introduction. Things like projected combat parameters—no matter how intelligent she was, she could not understand how Egghead had calculated that his creation could rival half a Superman.
Now was not the time to think about that, either. Cracks had begun appearing across the eggshell. A fissure split open the glowing giant egg, accompanied by an unending series of cracking sounds.
Trench Coat Fighter immediately ran to Batwoman's side. Watching the changes in the giant egg, he asked gravely, "What do we do?"
Batwoman noticed that he smelled of perfume and had a slender, short build. Could he be a woman?
Still, she did not mind having temporary assistance. Gender was not an issue. She answered in a low voice.
"We fight."
Crack!
The moment she finished speaking, a sharp crack rang out. A pointed claw covered in yellow chitin suddenly burst through the eggshell, its sharp talons gleaming under the flashes of lightning.
Trench Coat Fighter sniffed, clicking his tongue.
"This reminds me of Jurassic Park. Is this the privilege of a top-tier Superhero? Getting to fight ancient creatures?"
"Not a dinosaur. Egghead couldn't obtain viable dinosaur genes."
Batwoman pressed a hand against her utility belt. She needed to see what the creature had been crossbred with before she could make an initial judgment about its weaknesses.
The truth was much as Batwoman had said. Even Professor Pyg fell short of being able to create hybrid dinosaur genes. Only Doctor Ivo, the creator of Amazo, probably possessed that capability.
Batwoman estimated that Doctor Ivo was currently working for Luthor. After the incident involving Little Amazo had implicated his laboratory, IVO had been forced to live under another's roof. His source of funding had always been LuthorCorp.
Doctor Egghead was still dancing
