After everyone obediently finished eating, Alfred gave up "watching" Su Ming. He carried a tray over to bring Gordon his meal.

Commissioner Gordon had originally planned things well enough. He intended to go to Wayne Manor, see Batman, and offer his help.

However, events did not unfold according to his wishes.

He had barely arrived at the manor and had not even entered the Batcave before the old butler caught him and sent him to that same "absolutely safe" Safehouse from last time.

Gordon had steeled himself to sacrifice for the city he loved, but the old butler replied, "Thank you, but we don't need it."

So the poor commissioner was placed under house arrest once again. Gordon had looked at Diana and the others with despair in his eyes, as though waiting for the Justice League to speak up for him, but Green Arrow, Aquaman, and the others all turned away and pretended not to see.

At the time, Gordon had shouted, "Deathstroke, you set me up again!" before the old butler dragged him away.

But Su Ming was a good person, after all. He had given Gordon a choice back then: either go play at Poseidonis's Amusement Park, or come to Wayne Manor.

The first thing they saw was the flash of red and blue police lights, followed by the heavy rain obscuring them. It was footage taken from surveillance cameras somewhere.
