Just a few steps out the door, Su Ming saw Diana hurrying toward him down the corridor.
"Well, well, you little ape."
Su Ming grumbled inwardly, once again putting finding Bobo a mate on the agenda. Still, he leaned against the wall and looked at Diana with a weary smile.
Diana slowed down and looked him over. "You're hurt?"
"Try holding up a dimension and gently setting it down without breaking it. If it were anyone else, they'd probably already be dead." Su Ming consciously placed a hand on her shoulder, putting on the appearance of a seriously wounded patient. "What brought you here?"
Diana had originally wanted Deathstroke to come up with a solution for the world's current situation, but seeing him like this, she could not bring herself to say it.
So she lowered her head, pulled Deathstroke toward the Teleportation Portal, and headed out. Nightshade had helped her teleport here, so the trip had gone smoothly.
"Nothing. I'm taking you back to the Hall of Justice for treatment."
"It's damage to my soul and Mental Power. The Final Machine doesn't have that function anyway. It's not serious; I just need time to recover."
Su Ming refused. Batman seemed easy to talk to now only because he had gone mad. And the Final Machine had been built by Batman in the past; who knew what contingencies were hidden inside?
Diana pursed her lips and nodded. "Then I'll send you to Paradise Island. There are hot springs and palaces there, all very nice. Just don't casually kill the Elders."
"You've learned to tell jokes too, huh? Heh. I really don't know why you keep those old fossils around. For sparring practice?" Su Ming chuckled twice and covered one side of his abdomen.
"It's for practicing political maneuvering, not arguing."
