Su Ming and Deathstroke uncovered the forces aiding Chthon’s return, sought the Ultimate Nullifier, and fought revived demons while Earth faced invasions by Dark Elves, Trolls, and other enemies. The arc ended with Deathstroke setting a trap for Beast in Darkless Prison as Loki and the heroes prepared to confront Ulik.

• Su Ming learned that Chthon and tens of thousands of Ancient Demons had escaped, then abandoned his planned strike to search for God Eater.
• Deathstroke discovered that someone had used Watcher technology to help the Dark Elves invade Earth, while Wanda restored the Watchers’ eyes so Strangle could read their memories.
• Su Ming concluded that an unseen attacker had killed the Watchers and enlisted Wanda and Lorna to find the Ultimate Nullifier as a counter to Chaos Magic.
• Su Ming secured permission from Galacta to borrow the Ultimate Nullifier by arranging a meal for her, then searched for its hidden storage room with Wanda and Lorna.
• As Dark Elves and Trolls attacked Earth, Deathstroke sought help from Satana and traveled with Wanda and Lorna toward Darkless Prison to investigate Beast’s soul.
• Deathstroke killed the resurrected Kx'ulthuum in Black Death Prison and continued toward Darkless Prison with Wanda and Lorna.

Deathstroke restored light to Darkless Prison, defeated Beast, and uncovered Set’s influence behind the threats surrounding Namor and the Serpent Crowns. As New York faced demons, Atlanteans, and Dark Elves, Angela reunited with Frigga and Superman joined the battle, while the Adjutant warned that the Black Bifrost could bypass Earth’s defenses.

• Deathstroke, Wanda, and Lorna transformed Darkless Prison by replacing its darkness with a blazing red sun, then Deathstroke destroyed Beast after Wanda extinguished the light and restored it afterward.
• Deathstroke found a disguised Serpent Crown in Squirrel Girl’s possession, warned S.H.I.E.L.D. against recruiting unknown powers, and sent the team away from New York.
• Jessica fought Angela, and Deathstroke revealed that Angela was Odin and Frigga’s eldest daughter, abducted as a baby from Hevenheim.
• A global tsunami flooded New York, so Deathstroke recruited Arthur to summon sea creatures against Namor’s Atlanteans while Lorna redirected the tides.
• Deathstroke tracked Namor to Washington, where Namor attacked the White House for Set’s promised power, but Deathstroke confronted him and discovered that Set had possessed him.
• Namor exploded and his remains vanished into the sea, while Loki and the others questioned Angela and Frigga later reunited with her and claimed her as her daughter.
• Deathstroke brought Superman to New York to fight the invaders, but Xuthl blasted him into the sea as Deathstroke waited for the rest of his trap to unfold.
• The Adjutant reported that the Dark Elves’ Black Bifrost used Chthon’s dark energy to bypass Earth’s protection and could bombard the planet in large numbers.

As ancient demons overwhelmed New York, Deathstroke staged Tony Stark’s family tragedy and lured the God Eater into a battle against Chthon and Set. He sealed New York inside a golden sphere and moved his team into the Broken Domain, where they prepared to attack Set while Luthor revealed his search for the universe’s primordial state.

• Su Ming reassured Polaris that Black Bifrost would not destroy Earth as battles spread across New York, and Batman struck Xuthl with help from Ghost Rider.
• Deathstroke ordered one hundred million Synthezoids deployed and activated the staged family members modeled on Howard, Maria, and Cassandra.
• Tony tried to protect his family from Aquironkagua, which killed Cassandra and later struck Tony, Howard, and Maria into a crater, where Howard passed Tony the Spacequake Generator before dying.
• Deathstroke watched Tony mourn the deaths of his family’s Synthezoids, then joined the effort to feed demons to Strangle and draw out the God Eater.
• Deathstroke revealed Chthon and Set to the God Eater, while Su Ming used Loki’s illusion to mislead the demons and had Wanda seal New York City away from the Main Dimension.
• The God Eater entered the sealed city to consume the demons, and Deathstroke took his allies through Dormammu’s Dark Dimension cage into the Broken Domain.
• Su Ming questioned Luthor about his search for the universe’s primordial state and agreed to begin his treatment after returning to Earth.
• Deathstroke led his team through the golden barrier to attack Set, assigning Squirrel Girl and Wonder Woman to seize his hands and Polaris to control the Serpent Crown.

Deathstroke’s group tracked Set into the battlefield and killed him from within, then waited for Chthon to emerge. They moved to the New York Sanctum Sanctorum to retrieve its boiler, where the Old Ones sealed inside had awakened.

• Diana, Polaris, Squirrel Girl, and Deathstroke attacked Set, but he escaped through a snake substitute and the Sea of Snakes dimension.
• Deathstroke sent America Chavez and Chewie to deal with the Sea of Snakes, then used Harley’s enchanted Eye of Ra to locate Set beneath the ruins.
• Deathstroke fired the Ultimate Nullifier at Chthon’s hiding place, but Chthon avoided it while Set fled toward the battlefield between God Eater and the First Generation Demons.
• Deathstroke’s group deduced that Set was hibernating in the fur of a white-furred demon, and Harley spotted him inside a deer-headed mouse.
• Deathstroke led his team through Set’s body, damaging his organs until Diana destroyed his heart and Set died.
• Strangle consumed Set’s brain and revealed what it had learned from his memories, while Deathstroke hid Set’s corpse and left Deadpool behind to fight the demons as bait.
• Deathstroke planned to erase the temporary dimension to expose Chthon, and God Eater agreed to retrieve the furnace containing an Old One from the New York Sanctum Sanctorum.
