Chapter Summaries

Deathstroke's group chose to search for Zeus and planned to ask Morgan le Fay for help locating him through Diana's blood. Meanwhile, Harley and Deadpool led a truck-riding killer squad through Gotham, hunting members of The Last 52 Legion as Last Day continued burning in the sky.

• Su Ming shared incomplete intelligence about Kell Mossa and the Remnant, and the group discussed which enemy to investigate.
• The group chose to pursue Zeus, and Su Ming rejected Madame Xanadu in favor of Morgan le Fay.
• The Adjutant brought Diana's blood, and Su Ming asked Bobo to open a door to the Mystical Realm so they could seek Vivienne's help finding Morgan le Fay.
• Harley led Deadpool and the other killers in a stolen truck through Gotham, using her connections to locate and run over members of The Last 52 Legion.
• Harley and Deadpool joked about their violent hunt and observed that Last Day was focused on killing Constantine rather than destroying Earth.

Harley and Deadpool’s crew drove through Gotham while Batwoman sped past, and Deadpool revealed that they were hunting a corrupted Green Lantern. Meanwhile, Su Ming’s group contacted Queen Morgan through Vivienne and arranged to meet her in Ethiopia so she could help find Queen Hippolyta.

Su Ming and Bobo visited Morgan in Ethiopia to ask her to locate Hippolyta, and Morgan agreed to cast a tracking spell. She began preparing a Magic Circle so they could find the Old Gods without being detected.

Su Ming summoned Dream of a Thousand Cats, who agreed to repair the damaged Earth but declined to join the next operation because the Endless were preparing auditions for a new Destiny. Morgan completed her Person-Finding Magic ritual and located Hippolyta at the Knight’s coordinates.

Kyle, a celebrated scientist who had cured every known disease, enjoyed a quiet moment in the park before his wife and daughter arrived to take him to dinner for their wedding anniversary. As they left together, enormous golden lightning shattered his world, making everything he loved vanish.

• Kyle sat in his favorite park and reflected on how his free cure had helped humanity and earned him widespread respect.
• Kyle's wife and daughter found him, and he greeted them warmly and promised to watch cartoons after dinner.
• Kyle forgot that it was his wedding anniversary, so his wife reminded him and agreed to go out for a meal.
• Kyle offered to book a table at the city's best restaurant, and the family started toward the park exit.
• Enormous golden lightning flashed across the sky, and Kyle's world shattered and disappeared along with his family and everything else.

Constantine recovered from stalling Last Day in Gotham and revealed that he had captured Ulysses, the Mexican hacker. Since Su Ming already had the intelligence he needed, Constantine sold Ulysses to him for a silver coin and left.

• Batwoman drove away after Last Day disappeared, worried that her Kryptonite-filled Final Laugh device would no longer solve the crisis.
• Su Ming, Bobo, and their companions found the injured Constantine and helped him up.
• Constantine admitted that Madame Xanadu had sent him to Gotham to solve a riddle, and Bobo guessed he had been seeking a cure for Zatanna.

• Su Ming used Strangle to read Ulysses’s recent memories and learned that the hacker had likely traded with the green-robed Remnant, who had manipulated him without meeting him.
• Su Ming took Ulysses and the group to Harley and Deadpool, where Jason took custody of the unconscious hacker.
• Harley planned to distribute the alien-monster rations to the poor, while Su Ming paid Wade five hundred US Dollars for his share.
• Wade told Su Ming that the livestream viewers had uncovered the Remnant’s past and began explaining that the Remnant was an orphan.

Su Ming learned more about Remnant and prepared to confront Zeus after confirming his allies were safe. He left Harley in charge of the killer squad and headed with his team toward an unknown dimension whose entrance was at old Mount Olympus, near the pit sealing First Born.

Su Ming led the group into the Abyss beneath God Mountain to find a dimensional entrance. They encountered and defeated Ares’s reanimated corpse, then Su Ming suspected the entrance lay to the left.

• Su Ming and his companions descended into the Abyss while the Cloak searched for spatial energy.
• Su Ming gave Bobo a Bat Oxygen Tank to help him endure the foul air.
• Ares’s armored corpse emerged from the fog, and Donna asked to fight it so she could preserve the fallen god’s body.

Donna burned Ares’s corpse, and Su Ming used the flames to lead the group through the fog to First Born’s sealed area. After breaking through the barrier, they faced First Born, who declared his power and challenged them to kneel.

• Donna asked Deathstroke for an Incendiary Bomb and burned Ares’s corpse to prevent anyone from using it again.
• Su Ming gave the group torches and explained that Ares’s path pointed toward First Born and the dimensional entrance.
