Luo Ye was in a rather bad mood. After leaving the hospital, he wandered around the area for a bit, then decided to head back to the faculty housing.

When Luo Ye stepped inside, he found that Su Baizhou still hadn't returned.

He sat down on the sofa, turned on the TV, and started watching.

As he watched, he went from sitting to lying down... and soon fell asleep.

By the time he woke up, it was already afternoon, and Su Baizhou still wasn't back.

It was a holiday today. He had no idea what she had been out doing all day.

Luo Ye checked his phone and sent Su Baizhou a message.

Luo Ye: When are you coming back, Senior? (Hungry emoji)

As always, she replied instantly.

Fairy Senior: Tonight. You haven't had lunch yet?

Luo Ye: I accidentally overslept.

Fairy Senior: Then you can heat up the leftovers in the fridge... you do know how to heat them up, right?

Luo Ye: Of course.

After ending the chat, Luo Ye opened the fridge and found one of the boxed meals she had prepared for his dormmates.

These were all leftovers from yesterday. There had been far too much for them to finish, so they had packed the food into boxed meals for his "sons" to eat once classes resumed.

Then Luo Ye went into the kitchen, took out a steamer, poured in some water, put in the steaming rack, and turned on the gas.

He knew how to heat food up. He just didn't know how long it needed.

He searched online, then started timing it.

Once the time was up, Luo Ye lifted the lid and gazed hungrily at the food inside.

As expected of Fairy Senior's cooking-even the leftovers smelled amazing.

Luo Ye reached out to take the dish out.

The instant his hand touched it, a wave of steam rushed toward him and engulfed Luo Ye's fingers.

Luo Ye reflexively jerked his arm back, but his fingers still got slightly burned.

Luo Ye said helplessly, "If you don't cook, you really don't have any kitchen common sense."

Still, such a minor injury was hardly worth mentioning. It would heal on its own soon enough.

Luo Ye found a dishcloth and used it to lift the dish out.

After finishing his meal, Luo Ye washed the dishes and tidied the place until it was spotless.

Then he went downstairs to buy a towel, planning to take a shower.

He didn't have any toiletries here, so he hadn't showered yesterday.

Once inside the bathroom, Luo Ye turned on the shower and started washing.

As he showered, Luo Ye suddenly noticed two curious little garments hanging on the wall beside him.

They were white, with a little lace detailing, and looked simple and innocent. Of course, clothes like these couldn't possibly belong to a guy.

One of them was actually triangular.

Only girls wore these things, right?

Luo Ye blushed and turned his head away, not daring to look again.

After her shower late last night, she had hung the little garments she'd changed out of here, intending to wash them when she had time.

In other words, these were her unwashed undergarments.

Luo Ye recalled bumping into her outside the toilet back in the countryside.

That soft feeling when he'd bumped into Fairy Senior... had she been wearing this then?

At that thought, Luo Ye's little buddy raised its head, instantly bursting with energy and lovestruck excitement.

Desire filled Luo Ye's heart. The things hanging on the wall seemed like Pandora's box, luring him into wrongdoing.

But Luo Ye was a gentleman. He turned the tap, switching the hot water to cold.

Chilled to the core, refreshed to the soul.

Luo Ye's heart became as cool as the water, and his little buddy's enthusiasm was doused along with it.

After his shower, Luo Ye sat on the sofa, but his mind had already wandered far away.

Before long, noticing his little buddy's enthusiasm rising again, Luo Ye scolded it in exasperation. "Pathetic. If you've got what it takes, make her your girlfriend. Then wouldn't you have everything?"

Luo Ye stood up and went back to his room.

Push-ups. One, two, three, four...

It wasn't working.

Luo Ye ran outside again and started running laps around the university's track.

Time to work out!

He had been single for eighteen years. No, as of today, he was already in his nineteenth year.

Having never dated anyone, Luo Ye was starting to lose his head a little.

Today was the sixth day of the seven-day holiday, and students had already begun trickling back to campus.

Luo Ye ran five laps, then stopped. He was exhausted.

Still, that was two laps better than he'd managed a while ago.

The sky gradually dimmed. Night would fall soon.

Luo Ye sat on the sports field, recovering his strength.

Suddenly, his gaze froze on the roadside beyond the field.

A guy and a girl were walking side by side there.

Luo Ye didn't know the guy, but the girl looked very familiar.

Wasn't that Liu Bingxin, the petite girl with the long legs?

Liu Bingxin was chatting and laughing with the guy. Although they kept some distance and weren't doing anything intimate, they seemed to get along very well.

Just like... the way she had acted around Li Haoyang before they started dating.

Luo Ye might have been single, but as a romance novelist, he was a master of theory.

He might not have experienced any of it himself, but he understood it all.

Luo Ye got up from the field, intending to investigate.

Luo Ye stealthily followed the pair all the way to the entrance of the Women's Dormitory.

By now, Luo Ye was close enough to hear their conversation.

He heard Liu Bingxin say with a smile, "Thank you for picking me up at the airport and carrying my luggage all the way here, Senior. Sorry for all the trouble. Let me treat you to dinner this weekend."

Hearing that, the guy gave a small smile, looking very handsome as he said tenderly, "Don't mention it. How about I treat you to dinner tonight instead?"

Liu Bingxin looked hesitant and seemed to mull it over. "Tonight..."

She didn't finish, leaving him an opening to ask.

And, just as she'd expected, he asked considerately, "Do you have something to do tonight? I can help."

"It's nothing, really."

Looking at the guy in front of her, Liu Bingxin said quietly, "It's just that I haven't finished the assignment our teacher gave us last week, and we have class the day after tomorrow..."

"Oh, I thought it was something serious. That's easy. I'll take care of it."

"Wouldn't that be wrong?"

"Not at all. Leave it to me. Then I'll see you at the campus gate tonight. Don't stand me up."

Not far away, Luo Ye looked astonished at what he'd heard.

Wh-what... what league was she even playing in?

Even this older student was being led around by the nose by Liu Bingxin. He was doing her homework and treating her to dinner, yet he was still grinning, thinking he'd landed the deal of a lifetime.

No wonder Coach was utterly bewitched. With his meager emotional intelligence, Liu Bingxin had him wrapped around her little finger.

No, I can't just watch Coach go down the wrong path.

This sweet little Bingxin was an expert at playing innocent, and Li Haoyang wasn't the only fish she had on the hook.

Luo Ye opened his private chat with Li Haoyang and was about to type when a message popped up on his phone.

Fairy Senior: Where are you?

She's back?

Luo Ye left his chat with Li Haoyang and hurriedly messaged her.

Luo Ye: On my way!

After sending it, he left the entrance of the Women's Dormitory and eagerly headed toward the faculty housing complex.
