Background / History

Arrival and Military Training

A Jiangcheng local who lives near the university, Li Haoyang moves his luggage into the dorm early. During the rain, he lends his umbrella to a short student and carries her bags to campus. The student is later identified as Xu Xiaojia, who initially mistakes him for an upperclassman welcoming freshmen 2 28.

He meets Luo Ye that evening, with Shen Qiao and Wang Dachui completing their four-person dorm the following morning. His muscular appearance prompts counselor Chen Xiongjian to mistake him for a military veteran and appoint him acting class representative when nobody volunteers. His first assignment is to compile the names of students unable to participate in military training 2 3.

Initially refusing to believe that she could be a player, Li Haoyang invites her to the track: she first declines, but changes her answer when he mentions Shen Qiao will be there.
