Zhao Hao had just finished throwing up when the sight before him shattered his entire worldview.
He had always thought he was lewd enough, watching porn every day and taking matters into his own hands.
But he had never expected Xiu, who looked so respectable, to outdo him.
He even dared to cop a feel off a Ghost?
Still, recalling what Fang Xiu had just said, Zhao Hao soon understood why he was doing it.
Perhaps he had suffered too many shocks, or Fang Xiu's calm had given him some confidence, or every ordinary person harbored a desire to become extraordinary. All those tangled thoughts made Zhao Hao steel himself, grit his teeth, and walk toward the Female Physician too.
Seeing him approach, Fang Xiu slid his hand back to make room for Zhao Hao.
Staring at the long, slender, pale leg before him, Zhao Hao reached out with a trembling hand, as though he were about to grab a venomous snake.
"Fuck it! Here goes!"
"Hiss! So cold!"
Zhao Hao sucked in a sharp breath, but he did not move his hand away.
They felt her legs for a while, but neither sensed any change.
Then Zhao Hao suddenly said, "Who would've thought the first woman's thigh I ever touched would belong to a Ghost? Still, credit where it's due-these legs really are long. Longer than my lifespan."
Fang Xiu gave Zhao Hao a surprised look, not because of his lame joke, but because he seemed to have some potential.
Although he had been terrified at first, he adapted remarkably well. Now he even dared to joke.
Even if he was joking to ease his fear and anxiety, not just anyone could manage that at a time like this.
"It's been a minute. Thirty more seconds, then we leave immediately. We need to leave ourselves enough time to escape," Fang Xiu said decisively.
Zhao Hao nodded.
Time ticked away, and thirty seconds passed in a flash.
"Go!"
Fang Xiu turned and ran without the slightest hesitation, with Zhao Hao right behind him.
Fang Xiu only dared to take such a risk because he already felt confident. After all, he had "entered" Green Mountain Psychiatric Hospital before. Although he had not explored all of it, he still remembered its general layout and some of the routes.
He was therefore confident he could use the terrain to put distance between himself and the Female Physician.
However, just as they reached the corner at the end of the corridor, something shocking happened.
Fang Xiu saw several strands of black hair suddenly drop into his field of vision.
He looked up and met the Female Physician's pale eyes.
How was this possible?!
Fang Xiu's heart jolted. Had I misjudged her killing pattern? I should still have at least two minutes to escape. Why had the Female Physician caught up so quickly?
He instantly looked back toward Li Feifei's body, and his pupils trembled violently.
Li Feifei's body had been devoured completely, leaving only a pool of blood-and sitting in that pool were several large chunks of silicone!
Silicone!!
They were fake!!
Fang Xiu nearly exploded. He had never imagined he would slip up over something like this. He had little experience with women, so he had naively assumed every part of them was real.
Yet there was no shortage of convincing fakes in this world.
Swish!
A silver flash swept past. Fang Xiu's view rose as his head flew high into the air, then landed heavily.
May there be no silicone in heaven.
A cold, slick sensation came from his palm.
When Fang Xiu woke, he discovered that he had not returned to his wife's side. Instead, he was beside the Female Physician, feeling her thigh.
At that moment, Zhao Hao walked over and began feeling her leg too.
Fang Xiu quickly took out his phone to check the time and discovered that Death Rollback had brought him back to when he had just started touching her thigh.
A thought surfaced in his mind.
Could... Death Rollback work on an event-by-event basis?
Like stages in a game, the first stage was the area around the rented apartment, and the second was Green Mountain Psychiatric Hospital.
Since I cleared the first stage, did the save point automatically move to the second?
Fang Xiu had no time to think it through. He had died because of silicone last time, so he would not make the same mistake again.
"Let's go."
Zhao Hao froze for a moment. "Xiu, we're leaving already? We only just started. This is my first time..."
Before Zhao Hao could finish, Fang Xiu turned and left.
Not daring to stay there alone, Zhao Hao hurried after him.
Only then did Fang Xiu's quiet voice drift back. "Her front and her back were both silicone, so there wasn't enough flesh to keep her occupied for long."
Zhao Hao froze, then exclaimed in shock, "Silicone?! No wonder they were so big!"
The two ran all the way to the end of the corridor. There was only one passage, leading right, so they turned without hesitation.
After just a few steps, a staircase appeared before them.
"Downstairs," Fang Xiu said, and they began racing down the stairs.
The lights in the stairwell grew dimmer, and the darkness seemed to float in the air like tangible particles.
They raced frantically downward. One floor, two floors, three...
Before long, a flurry of footsteps sounded ahead of them.
Then came a scream.
"A Ghost! The Ghost caught up!"
Fang Xiu recognized the voice. It was one of his coworkers.
He quickened his pace and leaped down the stairs. Once he got closer, he saw that it was indeed Wang Ziteng's group.
Wang Ziteng and the others also recognized Fang Xiu and relaxed a little.
Clearly, they had thought the Ghost had caught up.
"It's Fang Xiu and Zhao Hao! Scared me half to death. I thought the Ghost had caught up," one coworker said, panting.
Zhao Hao looked at them in surprise. "Why are you running so slowly?"
"Slowly? We've gone down at least twenty floors! How did you two get here so fast?"
"Twenty floors?!" Zhao Hao's face instantly drained of color. "That's impossible! Xiu and I only came down three floors before we found you."
"What?!"
"Zhao Hao, this is no time to talk nonsense."
Watching the panicking group, Fang Xiu sank into thought.
Then Wang Ziteng realized something, his expression turning terrified. "Ghost Hitting the Wall! It has to be Ghost Hitting the Wall! My cousin said a Ghost's power can make people hallucinate and cause Ghost Hitting the Wall.
"Anyone caught in Ghost Hitting the Wall keeps going around in circles, never able to escape.
"That's why Fang Xiu and Zhao Hao caught up so quickly. We've been going around in circles this whole time!"
Wang Ziteng's words were like fuel on a fire, sending everyone into an even greater panic.
"If any of you have something you can spare, throw it on the ground as a marker." Fang Xiu's calm voice cut through the commotion.
Wang Ziteng clearly understood what Fang Xiu intended. He quickly pulled a Condom from his trouser pocket and threw it on the ground.
The others caught on too, taking out banknotes and cigarettes and tossing them onto the floor.
After leaving the markers, everyone began racing downstairs again.
But after descending half a floor and rounding a corner, they found the things they had just discarded lying on the stairs.
"Th-this is the lighter I just threw away."
"And my money!"
"We're done for! It really is Ghost Hitting the Wall! What do we do? Once the Ghost catches up, we're dead!"
