Shi Zhao temporarily sealed off the valley and arrived at the entrance to the Ancient Cave.
Suddenly, her slender brows knitted. She had sensed a familiar aura.
There was a fresh scratch at the cave entrance bearing a mark of Double Pupils, but it had been erased. She had no idea what message it had contained.
"I hope Yi is all right. Otherwise..."
This is bad, she thought, a cold gleam flashing through her eyes.
If those fellows had targeted Shi Yi, his situation probably would not be good. After all, some of those pureblooded creatures were in the Spirit Transformation Realm. His cultivation was a glaring weakness.
Of course, Shi Zhao was not overly worried. Even if he could not defeat them, the wondrous powers of his Double Pupils, his Void War Halberd, and his affiliation with Demon Spirit Lake should at least keep him alive.
It was much like how she had not immediately killed those pureblooded creatures earlier. Killing them would have been easy and satisfying, but there would inevitably have been some trouble afterward.

Now, Shi Zhao made no attempt to conceal herself. Radiance blazed from her entire body as she charged straight into the Ancient Cave, like a heavenly god descending to earth.
Purple-gold divine light blossomed between her brows, and her terrifying divine sense swept into the cave.
"That woman didn't burn to death! She's coming in!" someone shrieked.
The crowd scattered, fleeing deeper into the Ancient Cave. They were terrified of her.
"Yi, where are you?" Shi Zhao called repeatedly. Here, she feared no enemy.
After several calls, a reply came from deep within the Ancient Cave. Shi Yi appeared with blood on his body and a somewhat pale face. Fortunately, he was not seriously hurt.
"Who injured you?" Shi Zhao asked
