Shi Zhao awakened memories of her past life and discovered the seven-star mark and unusual primordial spirit within her. On the way to the clan’s medicinal-bath baptism, she met young Shi Yi and decided to treat him kindly despite knowing the future might bring tragedy.
Shi Zhao excelled at the Martial King Manor’s annual baptism, absorbing the cauldron’s medicinal power and impressing the clan elders. Fifteenth Master took her into his family’s care, where she quickly began teasing Shi Ziling and Qin Yining about having a child.
Shi Zhao continued guiding Shi Yi and tried to shape his character, while their playful bond grew stronger. After she defeated him in a spar, she rushed to Qin Yining’s side when labor began and welcomed the newborn boy.
During the heavenly sacrifice and a hunt in the Great Wilderness, Shi Zhao continued to encourage and look after Shi Yi and the baby Shi Hao. The Fifteenth Master later vanished after a fierce battle on the Hundred Clans Battlefield, leaving his fate unknown.
Shi Ziling and Qin Yining left the Imperial Capital to search for Shi Ziling’s father, entrusting Shi Hao to Shi Zhao. Months later, Shi Zhao confronted Shi Yi when he sensed Shi Hao’s unusual nature, and the chapter ended with Shi Hao cheerfully calling Shi Yi a new big brother.
After Shi Ziling and Qin Yining returned, Shi Zhao feared that Shi Hao’s fate had not truly changed, and Shi Yi’s mother abducted the two boys and extracted Shi Hao’s Supreme Bone. The chapter ended with Shi Ziling and Qin Yining finding their wounded son while Shi Yi’s mother claimed the bone had already fused with Shi Yi.
Shi Ziling and Qin Yining reclaimed the Supreme Bone from Shi Yi and implanted it into Shi Zhao, while their young son Hao'er remained gravely ill. After returning to Martial King Manor, Shi Ziling began investigating who had conspired against his son.
After waking from the Supreme Bone grafting, Shi Zhao grieved for Little Shi Hao and resolved to become stronger while helping him recover. Shi Ziling and Qin Yining took Hao to seek the Shi Clan’s Ancestral Land, while Shi Zhao remained under guard at the Martial King Manor and prepared to study the Stone Kingdom’s Precious Techniques.
Shi Zhao entered the Scripture Temple and resonated with its ancient Dao, strengthening and refining her primordial spirit and body. While studying a Golden-Winged Roc diagram, she awakened a hidden reaction in the tattered cloth, which recorded the roc as a rune, and she continued browsing the temple without revealing it.
Shi Zhao studied the Bian Precious Technique and used the mysterious rag to draw out the Suanni Precious Technique in the Scripture Temple. After spending nearly half a year mastering scriptures and both techniques, she left seclusion ready to attempt the Blood-Moving Limit.
After leaving the Scripture Temple, Shi Zhao returned to the Martial King Manor and trained relentlessly, using medicinal resources and the Supreme Bone’s painful tempering to push past the limits of her body. By age eight, she had reached a strength of 129,600 jin in one hand, the number of years in a cosmic cycle.
Shi Zhao broke through to the Cave Heaven Realm, opening an embryonic primordial spirit cave heaven and three ordinary cave heavens. After discovering that the primordial spirit cave heaven held a world formed from the Tattered Cloth’s Precious Technique imprints, she told Fourth Grandfather she wanted to go to the Ancestral Land, but planned to prepare first.
Shi Zhao confronted Shi Yi’s branch of the family and met her younger brother before his departure to the Primordial Divine Mountain. After they challenged each other over the earlier incident, Shi Yi admitted he was jealous, and Shi Zhao apologized and embraced him.
Shi Zhao and Shi Yi reconciled enough to explore the Void God Realm together, where Shi Zhao broke the Initial Land’s speed record and gained a fragment of a primordial-spirit technique. Back in the Martial King Manor, she prepared to leave on a journey toward the Ancestral Land while telling Fourth Grandfather she only wanted to see the world.
Shi Zhao returned from her wilderness training, opened her sixth Cave Heaven, and visited the Shi Clan’s Second Ancestral Land. There, she met an unnamed child whom she named Shi Qingfeng and prepared to take with her.
Shi Zhao and her family finally reached Stone Village while searching for the true Ancestral Land, and reunited with Little One after rescuing him and the other children from a Green-Scaled Eagle. They followed the children into the village, where Fourth Grandfather noticed the mysterious charred willow at its entrance.
Shi Zhao reached Stone Village with Little One and revealed that she had come to find him, but chose not to take him away. After the village returned the Green-Scaled Eagle’s eggs, the eagle left all three with them, hoping to benefit from the transformation of one egg.
Shi Zhao stayed in Stone Village with A Man and Qingfeng after Fourth Grandfather returned alone to the Stone Kingdom. When the Willow Deity sensed that Shi Zhao did not quite belong to this ancient history, the village chief appointed her to serve the deity.
Shi Zhao helped Stone Village process a bounty of ferocious beasts, prepared medicinal baths for the children, and revealed that the village’s five Ancient Alchemy Recipes were priceless inheritances. She remained intent on seeking the Mountain Treasure in the Great Wilderness, then held the exhausted Shi Hao as he fell asleep.
Shi Zhao taught Bone Text to the children of Stone Village while Little Shi Hao learned the Green-Scaled Eagle’s Precious Technique. After Bei Village injured a hunter, Shi Zhao accepted Stone Village’s Ancestral Artifact and went to kill its sacrificial spirit, the Old Warg.
Shi Zhao killed Bei Feng after destroying Bei Village’s Sacrificial Spirit, then explored the deep mountains and returned to Stone Village. She opened her seventh Cave Heaven, revealing precious artifacts within them, and hinted that her true trump cards lay elsewhere.
Shi Zhao took Little Shi and A Man to watch the battle over the Suanni, keeping Stone Village’s people out of danger. After the old Suanni’s ambush left it dead and the other powerful beasts fled, Shi Zhao set out to claim the spoils.
Shi Zhao returned to Stone Village with Little Shi and a haul of beasts, rare ingredients, and ancient treasures, then prepared medicinal bath baptisms for the village children. Little Shi emerged transformed, while Shi Zhao looked ahead to the calamities she believed awaited them.
Shi Zhao showed Little Shi’s growing strength as outsiders arrived in Stone Village, mistook the Willow Deity’s tender branch for a treasure, and were tricked into paying respects. Little Shi defeated their young prodigies, but Jiao Peng ordered Fei Jiao to kill him, prompting Shi Zhao to summon her Purple-Gold Great Hammer.
Shi Zhao slaughtered the Luofu Marsh attackers who came to Stone Village and drove the other visiting clans away. After she tried to claim credit, Willow Deity unexpectedly lifted her down from the altar.
