Zoro did not even spare him a glance. With one slash, he sent him flying, then hurried toward the room where Luffy and the others were.
But he was still too late! Miss Wednesday dragged Luffy out, a sharp blade pressed against his throat.
Zoro stopped abruptly at the sight.
If she had used anything else to hold Luffy hostage, he would not have cared. But it had to be a blade.
It was Luffy's nemesis! "Drop your weapons!"
Miss Wednesday shouted coldly at Zoro.
But the moment the words left her mouth, an equally cold shout rang out.
A sharp, icy blade was suddenly held across her neck.
The endless chill made every hair on her body stand on end!
Moonlight stepped out, looking at her. "You're not qualified to lay a hand on our captain!"
Moonlight's gaze was icy, his presence overwhelmingly domineering.
"You!"
Miss Wednesday's body stiffened instantly. It was not the blade at her throat that frightened her, but the freezing killing intent radiating from Moonlight.
"Tch!"
Zoro curled his lip at the sight.
A trace of regret appeared on his face. He had thought he was the only one who had seen through the truth.
As expected, this man could not be fooled!
"Don't hurt her!"
At that moment, Igaram suddenly rose to his feet. Ignoring his sword wounds, he charged straight at Moonlight.
"Don't move, or I'll kill you!"
Zoro held his blade across the way and spoke coldly.
"Then kill me! I'm willing to trade my life for hers!"
Igaram showed no fear. He charged straight into Zoro's blade.
Zoro sheathed his sword, astonishment on his face. His blades had never cut down someone like that.
"Igaram, don't worry about me! Get out of here now!"
Miss Wednesday cried out frantically.
"They're too strong. We're no match for them at all. Go!"
"No. Even if it costs me my life, I won't let these people hurt you!"
With a resolute expression, Igaram charged toward Moonlight as though he did not fear death.
"A touching bond, but I'm not interested."
Moonlight sneered, his pupils narrowing.
He was about to strike.
But at that moment, two cold voices—a man's and a woman's—suddenly rang out in the night sky.
"Hehe, so you were here!"
"Looks like we won't need to do anything after all."
A man in a brown long coat with curly hair appeared alongside a woman in a beige short skirt holding a yellow parasol.
Bathed in moonlight, they approached the group. Their eyes settled on Igaram and Miss Wednesday as they smiled coldly.
"This is bad. It's Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine!"
Igaram's pupils contracted when he saw them, and a terrible feeling suddenly welled up in his heart!
"So it's you two. You finally came. You received the letter we wrote, right? We may not have completed the mission, but we successfully lured them to Cactus Island. That counts as completing it, doesn't it?"
Mr. 9 stood up and smiled at them.
The two were also Baroque Works agents, but they were high-ranking agents.
After he and Miss Wednesday escaped from the Going Merry, they returned here. Then, while everyone was celebrating, they wrote to their boss to report the news.
Now that the two had arrived, it meant they had received the message.
"Hehe, of course you completed it. But the boss has another mission."
Miss Valentine gave a charming smile and looked at Miss Wednesday. Yet her words were chilling enough to make Mr. 9's face change in horror!
"We came to kill you, especially you, Miss Wednesday!"
"What!"
Mr. 9 stared in dumbfounded disbelief, as though he had misheard.
"You!"
Igaram's body shook. As expected, they had been exposed!
Their opponent was that man, after all. There was no way he could be fooled by their little tricks forever.
"Why are you killing us? We already completed the mission!"
Miss Wednesday shouted.
"Nefertari Vivi, Princess of the Alabasta Kingdom. Did you think you hid yourself well? From the very first day you infiltrated Baroque Works, we knew you were a spy. We simply wanted to see what you intended to do, so we never dealt with you. But now, Alabasta is about to become ours, so there's no need to keep you around any longer."
Mr. 5 picked his nose and spoke casually.
"You!"
Vivi's body trembled violently. Like a child whose lie had been exposed, she suddenly became helpless.
"What nonsense are you talking about? She's Miss Wednesday!"
Igaram shouted.
"Hehe, Guard Captain of the Alabasta Kingdom, what use is there in continuing to deny it? Your country will soon be ours. We came today to kill you!"
"Because you no longer have any value."
Miss Valentine giggled, murderous intent flashing in her eyes.
"Run!"
Without another word, Igaram grabbed Vivi and turned to flee.
Since they had already been exposed, there was no need to keep pretending. Their opponents were high-ranking agents.
"Do you think you can escape?"
Their flight only further confirmed that Mr. 5 had been telling the truth. Mr. 9 stood frozen in shock, while Zoro looked equally surprised. He had not expected such a twist.
Mr. 5 smiled faintly. He picked his nose, flicked his finger, and sent a booger flying toward Igaram and Vivi.
They were fast, but how could they possibly outrun a booger?
The booger landed right in front of them.
Boom!
A thunderous explosion erupted. The ground beneath their feet trembled slightly, while the surrounding walls collapsed with a roar.
Igaram and Vivi were blasted backward.
Igaram was severely wounded at once, while Vivi was covered in blood. Both of them instantly lost the ability to fight! "Miss Wednesday!"
"You bastards!"
Mr. 9 immediately flew into a rage at the sight. He and Miss Wednesday had spent day and night together, working missions side by side, and had long formed a deep friendship. Though he was still bewildered that she was supposedly a princess of Alabasta, seeing his constant companion fall before his eyes filled him with fury! He swung both clubs and charged at Mr. 5!
"Hehe!"
Mr. 5 smiled faintly and picked his nose again.
Boom!
Mr. 9 was blown away.
"We were already planning to kill you, yet you foolishly delivered yourself to us. Let me give you the final blow."
Miss Valentine floated into the air, holding her parasol!
She wore a flower-like smile, but the words from her mouth were horrifying.
"Ten kilograms!"
"One hundred kilograms!"
"One thousand kilograms!"
"Ten thousand kilograms!"
Boom!
