"Shen Yeqing, let's make up."
Coming out of the gymnasium, You Hongxuan sidled over with a sheepish smile.
Shen Yeqing smiled as he elbowed You Hongxuan aside, then looked at Xie Mi, still smiling.
"Teacher Xie, it's time for my theme."
Ignored, You Hongxuan's tears came streaming down.
Lai Bingxuan said, "Ahem, I just remembered I left something in the gymnasium. Liu Woxing, You Hongxuan, come get it with me. Xie Mi, Shen Yeqing, you two go ahead. We'll catch up in a bit."
Liu Woxing caught on instantly. "Oh, that thing, right? We really should hurry and get it. Let's go."
You Hongxuan looked bewildered. "What thing? I'll call my junior and have him bring it over for you. I... mmph! Mmph mmph mmph!"
Utterly unable to take a hint, You Hongxuan was dragged straight away by Lai Bingxuan and Liu Woxing with their hands over his mouth. Soon, only Xie Mi and Shen Yeqing remained.
Watching the three make their painfully deliberate exit, Xie Mi looked back at Shen Yeqing in amusement.
"So what's your theme?"
Shen Yeqing's lips curved slightly as he slowly took her hand, a soft, watery light shimmering in his eyes.
"My theme is..."
"Happiness."
The car stopped in an empty space beside the beach. The distant sea blended into the night, and the winter night breeze carried a chill. Shen Yeqing took off his scarf and put it around Xie Mi.
"Did you learn that from a TV drama?" asked Xie Mi, who was already wearing a scarf.
Shen Yeqing's smile deepened. "Two scarves will keep you warm."
The wind brushed the ends of their hair. Amid the wind and waves, they gazed at each other, their eyes holding no one else.
"Liu Liu."
Shen Yeqing lowered his eyes, gazing at her
