Li Suhua returned to her room and started busily packing her clothes, without the slightest reluctance. All she felt was disgust, eager to put this place out of sight and out of mind.

Only a few minutes into packing, the old lady called out to him again. "Yuan Su!"

"Here."

Yuan Su quickly answered, set down the persimmon in his hand, and went over.

"This sewing machine." Li Suhua patted the old machine. "You'll have to find a way to move it for me. This big thing kept me fed, kept Little Rain fed, and kept you fed too. It has to come with me."

Yuan Su looked at the old-fashioned sewing machine. "Can't I buy you a new one?"

"I don't want one." Li Suhua shot him a glare. "You're moving it for me. If it doesn't go, neither do I."

Yuan Su was only teasing her. He had already arranged everything, and had even considered transplanting the persimmon tree in the courtyard.

"All right, I'll have someone move it." He walked over and bent down to examine the sewing machine's construction, silently working out how to pack it without damaging it.

Watching how seriously he took it, Li Suhua suddenly spoke. "Su."

Yuan Su turned around. "Hmm?"

"What were you planning to do by investigating them?"

Yuan Su paused, his fists tightening slightly at his sides.

Li Suhua watched him. There was no accusation in her eyes, only understanding.

Yuan Su was silent for a few seconds before saying, "Nothing in particular. I just thought... if they ever had the idea of coming to find you or Little Rain, I'd know in advance."

Li Suhua did not believe him. "Really? Nothing else?"

"You can fool Little Rain, but you can't fool me."

"Tell me the truth, Su."
