As they stepped out of the hospital, the sunlight was a little dazzling.
Li Suhua let out a long breath, feeling much lighter.
"Little Su."
"Yes?"
"Keep an eye on that house for me. It belongs to Little Rain. She mustn't lose a single cent."
"I know."
Li Suhua nodded, then suddenly smiled, a measure of relief in her expression.
"All right, let's go. Time to ride the big iron bird."
Yuan Su froze for a moment. "The what?"
Li Suhua frowned slightly. "Aren't planes made of iron? And don't birds have wings? Put them together, and isn't that a big iron bird?"
On the way to the airport, Yuan Su couldn't resist messaging Pu Yu.
[Yuan Su: Do you know what a "big iron bird" is, baby?]

[Pu Yu: What? Weren't you picking up Grandma?]
[Yuan Su: Grandma just said-]
Before he could finish typing, Li Suhua gave his arm a smack and said fiercely, "Don't you tell Little Rain! Or you won't get any braised pork tonight!"
Yuan Su smiled and answered, "All right."
[Pu Yu: Said what?]
[Pu Yu: Huh? Where'd you go? Yuan Su, Yuan Su, Yuan Su?]
[Yuan Su: For the sake of braised pork, I'll have to keep you in suspense for now, baby.]
[Pu Yu: I'm going to hit you!]
It was noon when the plane landed at Dongzhou Airport.
Pu Yu had arrived at the arrivals gate early and was craning her neck to look inside. The instant that familiar figure appeared at the end of the passage, her eyes reddened.
"Grandma!"
She rushed over and buried herself in Li Suhua's arms.
Li Suhua's eyes reddened too, but she kept scolding, "You're all grown up, and you're still crying like this. What a sight! Aren't you embarrassed?"
